WRATH = Decor mistakes
So here is one of my biggest PET HATES!!!! I hate with a passion vertical blinds....I have been sitting here trying to think of something redeeming about them but I am stumped! Maybe they are just marginally passable in an office situation ....nah! They are hard to clean, they always end up having one or two broken ones hanging down, people invariably end up tripping over the bottom chains and they are just so damn ugly.
How uninspiring is this room with the verticals and their broken chains hanging down.
Wouldn't you just love waking up in a room like this!
I'd love to do the dishes staring at this!!
(notice other pet hate, microwave sitting on benchtop, always an after thought)
They add so much style to this room....not!
So what do you think...do you agree with my rant? Are there any redeeming features to vertical blinds? Show me the proof if you have some!
100% with you, i'm in the process of getting rid of lots now, they were in almost every room in the house! Vertical blinds belong in offices!

ReplyDeleteI am in a rental with horizontal off white blinds ...when I moved in I had to use oven cleaner to remove years of built up grease and grime. Yuk, We need a Boycot Bad Blinds Blog!
ReplyDeleteHi V, I commiserate with you...but you are not always stuck in rentals with ugly things, speak to the agent and see if they will let you change them out (only if you are planning to be there for a while) of may be you can pull them right up to the top (or take them down and store them) and make some curtains of your own. It is actually a lot easier than you think....I will have to give a lesson! Either way...life is too short to put up with ugly!!!
